Universidad Nacional de Cordoba (UNC)
This prestigious academic institution is located in the heart of the city. It was the first university founded in Argentina in 1613. Originally a Jesuit endeavour, it became a public institution in the 19th century. It is the oldest university in the country and one of the first ones in America.
Among its many excellent academic units is the Faculty of Languages (Facultad de Lenguas), it started as a modest language department from the law school in 1920. In 1927 it was given a university level. The main objective of its creation was to offer university students the possibility to learn a foreign language as an aid to their cultural and professional growth. Five year language schools were created for the training of teachers and translators of German, French, Italian, Spanish and English. Its constant growth and strong community insertion turned it into the 12th faculty of Cordoba University as from the year 2000.

The Faculty of Language of the National University of Cordoba (UNC) is one of the three possible centres in Argentina where to take the CELU exam (Spanish Certified: Language and use). The same one is destined to all the interested foreigners, from non Spanish speaking countries, older than 16, who want to certify their level of Spanish for academic or work reasons.

The CELU exam is awarded by The Ministry of Education, Science and Technology of Argentina.


DELE Exam

The 'Diplomas de Español como Lengua Extranjera (DELE)', issued by the Instituto Cervantes on behalf of the Spanish Ministry for Education, Social Policies and Sport, are official qualifications accrediting levels of competence and command of the Spanish language.

The Diplomas in Spanish as a Foreign Language (DELE) are the only officially accredited qualifications issued by the Ministry for Education, Social Policies and Sport of the Kingdom of Spain that are administered internationally. They are recognized worldwide by private companies, chambers of commerce and public and private educational systems. It is important to note at this point that their use is mainly related to educational and professional contexts.


Preparatory courses
Espanex offers preparatory courses for both of these international examinations, DELE and CELU. The course will allow you to acquire all the necessary knowledge to sit to these examinations, in any of its different levels. This course includes three individual hours per day where your teacher will guide you through all the contents that this examination evaluates. The amount of weeks for this course is directly related to the capacity of learning and the level of the chosen examination.
