1. Cordoba is a city of university students per excellence, its youth life is incredible and there are so many activities to enjoy, so much night life, many restaurants, clubs, pubs, theatres, cinemas, recreation centres, parks, etc. You should give yourself time to get the most out of a city with one of the largest student bodies. Cordoba city has 1,700,000 inhabitants of which 250,000 are university students.

2. Cordoba is situated very close, some 30 kilometres, to the sierras chicas. This region is the second most important in terms of tourist attractions in the whole of Argentina thanks to its touristic cities, valleys, lakes, rivers, waterfalls, sports of every type, landscapes, beaches, the altas cumbres, paragliding, extreme sports, many young people, etc. Come as soon as you can so that you don´t pass up the chance of visiting these fabulous places!!!

3. Safety in Cordoba is very good, although like any big city you have to keep an eye on your things. We recommend that you take taxis when it´s night time. During the day there are no problems walking about or taking public transport.

4. In terms of money and documents, we recommend that you take with you only the money that you need for the day and don´t go out with all your money so as to avoid problems. We recommend that you make a photocopy of your passport and that you carry this with you and leave the passport securely at home in your accommodation.

5. The economic aspect is very important. Besides your accommodation (residence, hall of residence or rented flat), you have to plan for your study and transport costs. Find out what the costs are and what assistance is offered by public and private organizations.

6. You need to think carefully about where you want to live. There are many options, but not everyone is suited to living with a family or to living by themselves. Once you have chosen one of the options give yourself time to find out about various possibilities (e.g. different family homes, student houses, or flats to rent) and compare the choices before you make your final decision.

7. It´s possible that you might feel alone at times. For this reason we suggest that you keep in touch with people you meet here and make yourself a group of friends who find themselves in your same situation. However, if you do feel lonely, consider it a challenge and look to enjoy your own company.

8. Teaching you Spanish is not just about the language but about providing you with a global knowledge of our culture so that you make good use of all the complementary tasks that interest you and so that you add to your interests.

9. The last thing that we recommend is that you make the most of your time. Certainly dedicate time to leisure, to your friends and going out, but don´t forget to study.
