Are internships paid?
The internship program in Argentina is an unpaid job because the main objective to acquire an International training and to enjoy a cultural experience. In some cases, the companies may decide to hire the student when the internship is over. In such cases, the company will help you with the requirements of your working visa, as it is stated by the Argentinean legislation.
Who is eligible for the internship program?
University students recently graduated or professionals who wish to have their first working experiences in another country. Open-minded people, willing to interact with a new culture and to be part of its way of life.
Is it necessary to have previous knowledge of Spanish?
Yes, of course. From the first day onwards, you will have to interact with people and be able to carry out different tasks. It is necessary to have at least an intermediate level of Spanish since, most probably; few people will be able to speak your language.
Can Espanex help me with extra Spanish classes?
We want you to have a successful job experience and to feel comfortable. Therefore, we can help you with classes until you acquire the required level of Spanish for the post. Classes will be held in our Spanish School in Cordoba and then you will be able to travel to Buenos Aires to make your internship program.
When are the deadlines for the registration to the program?
Espanex needs at least 6 weeks to confirm an internship. Please read the Registration section to find out more details about the dates.
How do I get credits for my internship?
Check with your university/educational institution as this may vary. We suggest you to get in contact with your counselor in your University to get more information on the credit system before finding an internship.
Is the application letter important?
Yes, and it should be very descriptive and detailed about your person, your personal strengths and skills, your likes and interests and preferred activities. By means of this letter we will create the profile that we will later send to the different companies. In this way we will work together to find the most convenient post for you according to your requirements and capacities.
Should I send my CV and Application letter in Spanish?
You can send them in Spanish, English or even in your native language. Then we will make the translation.
Will Espanex inform me about the company's selection process?
Of course. We will be in constant contact with you. As we get the confirmation of the different stages of the selection process of the host company , we will inform you via e mail or fax.
How many hours a week should I work?
It depends. From 18 to 30 hours per week. Each program, company and in some cases your university may require a minimum quantity of hours for the internship.
